Scoil Náisiúnta Réalt na Mara is a Catholic, co-educational primary school. While our school has a Catholic ethos at its core, we warmly welcome pupils of all faiths and none, and we actively promote an atmosphere of kindness, respect and inclusion towards all members of our school community.

“Réalt na Mara” is the Irish for Star of the Sea, a name that reflects both our location and our strong sense of identity. Our school is situated in the beautiful seaside village of Rosses Point, Co. Sligo, on the northwest coast of Ireland. We are incredibly fortunate to be based in such a special setting, surrounded by natural beauty and nestled within the close-knit, proud, and supportive Rosses Point community. On our doorstep, we have access to a wealth of local amenities and learning opportunities, including the beach, playground, and golf club, all of which enrich the educational experiences we offer our pupils.

There are currently 116 pupils enrolled in our school. They are supported by a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, who provide a high-quality, caring, and engaging learning experience for every child. Scoil Náisiúnta Réalt na Mara is also very fortunate to benefit from the ongoing support of an active and committed Parents’ Association and Board of Management.
